Mr. Samuel Coffey, Principal

It is with great optimism and excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the new Principal of Rosemont Elementary/Middle School. I am honored to have been chosen to continue to serve such an amazing school and school community. I come to you with 23 years of experience as an educator and administrator in Baltimore City Schools. Prior to working in City Schools, I received a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport and a Masters of Science in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University.

For the past 13 years Rosemont has served as my school home, during which I have taken the journey from being the PE teacher, to Assistant Principal and now culminating with the opportunity to lead this wonderful school community.  Parents, this work is not done alone, and we will need all hands-on deck. There are several initiatives we will be rolling out that will address our most pressing concerns which are increasing the attendance rate and increasing our literacy and math proficiency. As the new school leader, I pledge to work diligently with all of you to make Rosemont a place where “we are destined for success”.

Ms. Antionette Walker, Assistant Principal
